The first Mesa Cosa release, the seven-track Infernal Cakewalk EP, came out on 1 March 2012, ahead of the band’s debut album YaYa Brouhaha. Recorded by Nao Anzai and mastered by Mikey Young, with sleeve design by C.M. Ruiz, it captures the band’s “the Stooges walk into a tequila bar” live attitude in a “hey, we put out a record!” kind of way.

After touring through Europe and America the group settled in Melbourne with a new line-up, recorded AAA, and split up not long after a final show. Nine tracks of scrappy, melodic British indie-punk in the spirit of The Jam, The Clash, Buzzcocks and Billy Bragg.
