  Using the Vale MCP server

  Despite its early days, there’s something about MCP that really intrigues me, it puts the power of bringing data to LLMs in the hands of the data owner instead of AI companies. Well, in theory anyway. It also gives the potential to chain together interactions between different tools and services via AI. Anyway, all that aside, I have created an MCP server for Vale, which typically checks language for pre-defined regular expression patterns, but now, by feeding that into AI, can bring some context to the the checks too.

  I’d say that the vast majority of those of us who don’t really have any attachment to where we’re “from” have thought about living in Lisbon at some point. With generally good weather, good food, and an economy that needed stimulation, the Portuguese government created a golden visa to encourage digital nomads and workers. But sadly, that whole dream never really worked out for anyone, and now, even other nomads are noticing how unhelpful they are to the city.
