The Drones are something of an enigma, they posses an extremely loyal and fairly large fan base throughout the world, but outside of their followers, they remain largely unknown. As an illustrative point, The Doorman of the Corner is heard to say in response to a passer by, 'The Drones are playing tonight, never heard of them, must be popular though, it's sold out.î

Not a post I would usually share, but it seemed the easiest way of getting everything in one place. A bunch of stuff that might appeal to musicians, technical people etc etc…

I used to be a full time guitar player, and more recently I've been experimenting with electronic drums, MIDI devices, and DAWs. Converting an analogue instrument I'm used to playing into MIDI signals has always interested me, so I tried the Fishman TriplePlay Express, a relatively affordable MIDI guitar pickup, to see how it holds up.
